How do I use the Portal?

Log in, launch your simulation, download the software and see your results: a quick guide to each part of the Web Portal.

The Web Portal is where you log in to Virtual Medical Coaching. From here you launch X-ray Pro VR, RadSafe VR or BirthWise VR, download the software, and see your results.

Logging in

  1. Go to the Web Portal. Bookmark it. You can also reach it from the top right of the Virtual Medical Coaching website.
  2. First time? Use the link in your welcome email to create your password. The link lasts 1 day. See Getting started: account set up.
  3. Link expired or forgot your password? Select Forgot Password on the login page. See Password reset.

Login stuck on the loading screen? See The portal log-in is stuck on the loading screen page.

Launching a simulation

When you log in, the simulations your account is licensed for appear on screen. Choose one, then pick how to run it:

Launch 2D simulationOpens the Desktop version on your computer screen, with mouse and keyboard. X-ray Pro VR and RadSafe VR only. See What is the desktop version?
Launch VR simulationOpens the simulation in a VR headset connected to your PC. See Using a VR headset with a PC.

The simulation must be installed on the computer first. If you see a message saying it isn't, see Simulation not installed on your device.

Still stuck?
  1. Ask the chatbot: the Ask me anything box, bottom right of any Help Center page.
  2. Submit a help ticket.

Help us fix it first time. A ticket that only says "it's not working" doesn't tell us what has gone wrong, so we can't fix it. We'll have to write back and ask for details, which slows everything down. Please include:

  • the email address you log in with, and the name of your institution
  • which simulation (X-ray Pro VR, RadSafe VR or BirthWise VR)
  • which part of the portal, and what you clicked
  • what happens, with any message word for word or a screenshot
  • your browser (for example Chrome or Safari) and computer (Windows or Mac)
