The VR controllers are working in Steam overlay, but not working in the simulation itself.
1. Open Up the Menu bar from the SteamVR panel (This can be found here):
(In the case that you cannot find the panel in the screenshot aboce, you can launch it from the navigation bar as shown below)
2. From the Menu, navigate to Settings
3. In the settings menu, please ensure "Advanced Settings" is set to Show.
Then go to the "Video" section and switch "Pause VR when headset is idle" to Off
